Breather

I just finished writing my last paper of the semester. (It's on the causal pairing problem, in case you're curious. It'll probably wind up as a Summary Post, when I get around to doing more of those.)

I still have several weeks of school, with regular logic homework and two final exams, but this is a huge weight off my back. Maybe I can start catching up on sleep now. Maybe that'll help with some of the other stressors. I hope.

Mmmm, sleep. ^_^

Hallelujah!

What wondrous love is this, O my soul, O my soul!
What wondrous love is this, O my soul!
What wondrous love is this that caused the Lord of bliss
To bear the dreadful curse for my soul, for my soul,
To bear the dreadful curse for my soul.

When I was sinking down, sinking down, sinking down,
When I was sinking down, sinking down,
When I was sinking down beneath God’s righteous frown,
Christ laid aside His crown for my soul, for my soul,
Christ laid aside His crown for my soul.

To God and to the Lamb, I will sing, I will sing;
To God and to the Lamb, I will sing.
To God and to the Lamb Who is the great “I Am”;
While millions join the theme, I will sing, I will sing;
While millions join the theme, I will sing.

And when from death I’m free, I’ll sing on, I’ll sing on;
And when from death I’m free, I’ll sing on.
And when from death I’m free, I’ll sing and joyful be;
And through eternity, I’ll sing on, I’ll sing on;
And through eternity, I’ll sing on.

Good Friday

Ah, holy Jesus, how hast thou offended,
That we to judge thee have in hate pretended?
By foes derided, by thine own rejected,
O most afflicted!

Who was the guilty? Who brought this upon thee?
Alas, my treason, Jesus, hath undone thee!
'Twas I, Lord Jesus, I it was denied thee;
I crucified thee.

Lo, the Good Shepherd for the sheep is offered;
The slave hath sinned, and the Son hath suffered.
For our atonement, while we nothing heeded,
God interceded.

For me, kind Jesus, was thy incarnation,
Thy mortal sorrow, and thy life's oblation;
Thy death of anguish and thy bitter passion,
For my salvation.

Therefore, kind Jesus, since I cannot pay thee,
I do adore thee, and will ever pray thee,
Think on thy pity and thy love unswerving,
Not my deserving.

Praise God for Small Mercies

This was the sixth consecutive week in which I've had to either turn in a paper, take a test, or both; my biggest paper of the semester is due in two weeks.
But next week is Easter Break.

Two of my friends from church have been diagnosed with lymphoma.
But treatment has started, their spirits are good, and they have lots of support.

My dad was in a car accident last week.
But he is unharmed, and the car is repairable and insured.

I was summoned for jury duty today.
But I was dismissed, duty served.

Between the stress, the sleep deprivation, and the emotional roller-coasters, it's been a rough few weeks.
But God is my strength.

Good Friday is tomorrow.
But Easter is on Sunday.
