Spring 2009

Like the changing seasons or the inexorable tides, another break has passed with less accomplished than I would have liked. Ah, well.

This semester (which started a couple weeks ago) is already shaping up to be an interesting one. Courses:

Symbolic Logic: The closest thing to a math class I'm likely to have again (or at least in the near future). Truth tables, strings of letters and symbols, and an examination of the workings of logic. Good times.

Philosophical Anthropology and the Philosophy of Mind: A fascinating subject with broad applicability, especially in ethics. Is there a difference between the mind and the brain? What is the nature of personal identity? What can the answers to these questions tell us about God? This class is sure to produce interesting papers. (Whether any of you will see any part of them is another question...)

Theology 4--The Church and the Last Things: Not quite as exciting for me as the other two classes, but maybe I'll finally get a handle on terms like "dispensationalism" and "a/pre/post-millennialism."
